Here is a picture of us terrorizing women and children in the dead of night after we kicked in some doors...
OK, maybe not...
Do they really look terrorized to you?

Dryboarding vs. waterboarding, I believe.

Gary Sinise is one of my heroes. Rather than running around yelling and screaming and trying to get attention...He is doing just doing the right thing. There are still real men in Hollywood.
To: KSoldier
God Bless you SIR! You and your unit are in our prayers and we give thanks every single day for the sacrifices you are making, not only on our behalf, but on behalf of the Iraqis.
The press may not care, but rest assured there are a great many Americans who DO care, and we are committed to getting the word out. Thanks for sharing the photos and story.
I'm sending them out to my email list immediately.
Thank you again. You make us proud.

From the caption:
The girl's entire family was executed by insurgents; the killers shot her in the hand as well. The girl received treatment at the US Military Hospital in Balad, but cries and moans often. According to the nurses at the facility, [Air Force Chief Master Sergeant John] Gebhardt is the only one who can calm down the girl, so he has spent the last several nights holding her while they both sleep in a chair.

TEETER-TOTTERING...........the worst of all torture. You're right, only it's called "teeter-boarding".
To: KSoldier
Wonderful.
If you're not married I have a beautiful daughter....
Hey, thank you. Our admiration has no limits.

Gary Sinise is a true inspiration. I really hope I get to meet him one day. I am an Army Reservist who lived in North Hollywood, CA. I've been on active duty since 2003 though (no complaints.)
I get a lot of jokes about having lived in CA from many of my fellow troops. Yes, even worse, I am also a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
I grew up in SC. My response to my friends is that I am from SC, I just lived in CA for the past 12 years.
This is from my first tour in 2003.
Yes, that is a SAG card in my helmet band.

Thanks, Mo. Those are wonderful, especially the last two. And in the last one, the lack of fear of the children even when the soldier has his mean-looking weapon slung across his front speaks volumes.

Yeah, a note about the weapons, we have to carry them everywhere over here. This clinic is at the edge of our base. We do unload them and remove the magazines around the children. There are other armed soldiers posted around the clinic to protect the families from those terrorists wishing to punish them for being grateful.

...And a very heartfelt WELCOME to FR!
