Karl Rove is an idiot.

With JF Kerry as an opponent, GW Bush should have had a blow-out election, winning 60-65% of the vote. Kerry was the worst possible pick for the dems, and ran a terrible campaign - and still came within a few points of becoming President.

Since then, genius Rove has contributed towards runaway spending, amnesty, Harriet Myers and total ineptitude in discussing the importance of winning in Iraq. If republicans hold on in 06, it will be in spite of some of the worst run campaigns in American history, accompanied by some of the worst RNC ads ever - all to inspire republicans who have been beaten down under Rove's 'genius'.

May we never again have a genius like Rove help us out!

I've seen this theory expressed before, and it's faulty because (A) Bush is no Reagan; and (B) Halperin wasn't kidding when he said the MSM was worth "15 points" to Kerry.
