I'd rather have the Euros worship thor than nothing, at least Thor teaches warrior valor and machismo. Teaching you to fight back enemies rather than surrendering. Thor would not tolerate a weakling or a evil mozzie.
It's so ironic how the Europeans used to such tough fighters in defense of their Christian heritage, or before that the pagan heritage. The old Celts and Viking stories of valiant warriors still fascinate me. Images of the Valkyries flying off dying Viking warriors into Valhalla. The stuff of romantic literature. How did it turn into such a continent of wusses? Such a pity....where are Thor and Odin when you need them?
The old norse beliefs shared the belief with the muslims of the importance of dying in battle. If I am not mistaken, the only way to get into Valhalla, was to die in battle.
As a Christian, I can see that our belief can be a weakness when it comes to fighting the islamic threat.
Since "cowboys and Indians" is about played out, maybe its time for "Vikings and mozzies."
