All the best, BigSky. I have a 30 year-old daughter who wears computer-aids. With the latest ones she heard leaves crunching under her husband's feet for the first time as they took a walk, and heard music like never before (got those about a year ago). Hopefully puter-aids will continue to improve quickly.

According to my ear specialist, hearing aids (especially the digital aids) continue to improve as fast as computers do. So they continue to improve every 18 months.

He also said that he usually has to upgrade his computers that program the hearing aids in his office every 18 months or so.

The adjustments are precise and accurate. He can feed my hearing tests into the computer and it makes all the right adjustments at the click of a mouse.

In the old days of analog aids, everything had to be adjusted by hand with a small screwdriver.
