Attacking someone over 65 is more special than attacking someone else?!?!
Yes. We have laws in this country that increase penalties on those who perpetrate crimes on the more helpless segments of our society. Children, the elderly, etc. In Mr. Taggarts case, however, it doesn't sound like any special treatment was needed.

Now I see why gays are getting special laws written for them. If you attack anyone the punishment should be the same. It's an attack. But now the law says "oh, since it was a white, heterosexual, male who's hand was chopped off with the hatchet, well, no big deal. Now, if he were over 65, gay, any one of the over 66 percent minorities in the country, etc., then put the perp in jail."
Disgusting. No equal justice.
