I don't see how these troops can get in trouble for emailing a joke photo to their families in Iraq. Their assigned military lawyer could easily argue that it was a private joke that slipped out into public view without their intending it.

Sure, the Democrats could put them through the wringer. But . . . should they want to? This story has enough legs already. Would the congressional Democrats really want to be seen persecuting a group of American soldiers because they took exception to Kerry's demeaning insult?

Bring it on! I can't imagine anything more stupid and destructive to the Democrats than to do something like that. What, Schumer and Kennedy getting up and demanding that the troops in Iraq should be punished for telling the truth about Kerry? I don't think so.

The soldiers "insult" Kerry and would face charges? Meanwhile Sen. John Kerry insults the Commander in Chief and doesn't even face censure?

The argument could be made that the soldiers (all of them, and the Air Force, Navy, Marines, everyone) has to be brought home because they obviously can't be controlled over there in Iraq. That would solve Kerry's and Kennedy's and Durbin's and Murtha's and etc.'s problems if they could make that pig fly.
