How the hell is that a "similar play". They're citing some internal memo, but they're not claiming to give this guy any more money or support. This is delusional blather to keep their faithful happy.

Any race in which the Dem upsets a Republican lock will constitue incontrovertible evidence of a "Blue Tidal Wave" of disgust with the criminal Bush enterprise.

Any race in which a Republican upsets a Dem lock will constitute incontrovertible evidence of voting machine fraud.

Hugh Hewitt had on Bouchard yesterday and he refered to him as the next Senator from MI, I am not so sure. Anyone from the Devos/Bouchard teams here that have some internals that can give us some hope.

It's ridiculous that MI would re-elect a governor and a senator with such absurdly bad records.

Yet, that appears to be what's happening.

How much in debt is the democratic party going to be on November 8th?

This could be turning into an interesting race -- I've felt for some time that Michigan could be a GOP upset in the making (see my post #25 on the thread below).

That shouldn't be such a big surprise. When a state's economy goes down the sh!tter, its most productive residents are usually the first to leave. Over time, the citizenry becomes dominated by losers, social misfits, and recent immigrants (both legal and illegal). It's hard for conservatives to win elections when a disproportionate number of voters are losers, social misfits, and recent immigrants.

Polipundit just reposted some info I saw last month that convinced me that Brouchard had a great chance of picking up this seat:

In the 2000 General Election (Michigan Statewide) Stabenow defeated Abraham by only 67,232 votes. At the same time, farther down the ballot in Oakland County, Bouchard received 83,161 more votes than Stabenow countywide.

AC, have you ever lived in MI?

It is not an optimistic place to be at the moment, I am living it, we are fine, but it is hard to keep a stiff upper lip with the whole state going to pot.

The mentalities of many will not allow them to pull the "R" lever. Sorry, just the way I see it.

I've never lived there, but I've seen countless posts here on FR from people who are dealing with the state's ongoing malaise.

I'll believe it on Nov 8--Detroit dictates to the state.

Pederson in Arizona?

Blissful ignorance. Rather, puffery. Not a chance.

Dean must fill up his days dreaming up how to be more ridiculous the next day.
