And anybody with a brain and clarity can see that the ad doesn't make the accusation look particularly convincing. My point is that the ad fails to communicate this issue convincingly, and that it's nature make Santorum look bad. To the extent that it's an important issue, that makes the ads failure to appear credible even worse.

Nonsense. The ad is opening a debate that should be aired. In that respect, Santorum has done America a service as long as the predicate is true. If it is not true then he has done a disservice to himself, his opponent and his state.
