I was surprised that Dean came out in defense of kerry yesterday, instead of just keeping a low profile, but on second thought I shouldn't have been.

Keep in mind that there are two main factions in the Democrat party: the clintonoids, and the Kennedys.

Kerry was the Great White Hope of the Kennedys, since Chapaquiddick made it impossible for Teddy to run for president. Dean, a New Englander, was the Kenneys' choice to head the DNC. Hillary was already planning to replace Dean with one of her own stooges after the election, and kerry's gaffe weakens the whole New England contingent in the party.

That might also explain why the New York Post ran that picture of kerry with a foot in his mouth--because they are working for hillary. They have been somewhat ambivalent about supporting hillary recently, after slavishly serving her from 1992 through 2000. But who else can they support?

Hillary used the media to knock Dean out of the primary race in 2004, and she may very well use the media again to knock kerry and dean both out of her way now.

Not that we shouldn't sit back and enjoy the show.

My thoughts exactly. I'm sure all of us realize how much this helps the Hildabeast. This paves the way for 2008.
