First of all Kerry DID NOT publicly apologize. It was a Carefully worded statement(probably written by a lawyer) on his website!
The only apology I would consider would be him calling a press conference and do it on camera. That man insulted EVERY man and woman who ever served!
Second, The driveby media has yet to forgive Mel Gibson!
Excellant reply, thank you!
Front page story on all the NY tabloids today...the Post (and that freebie Metro paper they shove in your face at the subway entrance) included the now famous troop photo:
http://www.nypost.com/seven/11022006/frontback.htm
That's a howler of a pic of the troops with the sign.
It would be so rich and rewarding if the Dims missed out on both houses of Congress and the polls showed it was Kerry's remark that swung the tide.
So far as I understand no major newspapers have run the photo except the NY Post...I'm calling mine tomorrow and asking why not? Its circulation is sinking, they're letting employees go....aren't they curious what's going on out there, and if there may not be a reason THERE why it's failing??
Follow-up: I just went online to my paper's site. They even have a "Day in Photos" feature! The photo which went around the net in a flash yesterday is not there for either yesterday or today. Amazing, just amazing!
Send it to them by golly!
