The KKK was NOT republicans. They were democrats. In fact republicans were often targets of the Klan. That is one of the myths that the dems have perpetuated. (I live in one of the strong hold of the KKK way back when it first organized)

the GOP - klan thing isn't my thought, its just the stereotype they throw out every two years when Je$$e needs to be relevant again.
