I don't see how. There was already a thread here about the families' secret trip to Iraq. I saw it in the last few days...can't recall exactly when. This is something announced for the first time that we are waiting for.

The majorness of the story is that most parents of slain soldiers still support the war and are even traveling half way around the world to thank the very troops who served with their sons and daughters.

Color me confused, because I've seen a thread that I thought was about that very thing, already. All I can say is, if the thread I saw was about something different from this, well, the similarities are especially mind boggling.

It is to counter the fools who keep saying Iraq is a QUAGMIRE....Families of fallen soldiers visiting Iraq and telling their stories, well that sounds big to me. We all know that the lame-stream has-been dinosaur media hacks won't cover it, they are too busy selling doom and gloom 24/7.

Yep, and it comes on the heels of the New York Times report that Saddam was developing a nuclear weapons program - and also comes at a time when these families are giving it back to Senator Kerry but good.

Cindy Sheehan stalked George Bush in a ditch outside his ranch at Crawford.

These folks have gone to Iraq, where their children died to tell the American people a side of the Iraq story they've not heard before!

I think it's great. I was just expecting something a little...different.

I guess I just don't see how families of active duty servicemen supporting the troops and their mission as a major development. But I look forward to hearing their stories.
