Let's try the weather and no state taxation.

There are plenty of other such places. They could live in Nassau Co. or Jacksonville/Duval, or Sarasota just in FL. Texas has a warm climate. As does Alabama'coast and the FL panhandle.

Sorry, but the warm weather and no state income tax excuse does not fly.

You have made my point by most of the places you listed are in Florida. However, you are correct in the particular places in Florida where they could live.

Texas for the most part really does not have a warm climate. During the winter, the northern two thirds of Texas is still part of the Ice Bowl (which stretches from Wichita to Little Rock through Dallas and three-quarters of the way to San Antonio.

Also, to "jet setters" (which Ann and Rush would qualify) Southern Florida is much more adept to their lifestyles. let's face it they both are attention grabbers which fits that city's persona much better than anywhere else in the South or Southeast. I am not saying they are wise for doing this, but that is what they have chosen.
