I'd like to agree here, but the 'good people' knew what they were getting and what he is, was and apparently always will be, is exactly what they wanted in Washington. If he's now an embarrassment, then so are those who voted for him.
I truly feel badly for those in MA who've always known he was at best a chump and at worst a traitor and never voted for him. Those are some brave souls, IMHO.

Yep, it's pretty hard to excuse the voters of MA when you also consider the other senator they've elected term after term after term.
