I am so GD sick and tired of GWB's ANG service being discounted or dismissed! EVERY time GWB put on his g-suit and strapped himself in the cockpit, he faced death on a personal basis. His service might not have taken place in a declared combat zone but in fact he was on the front line of America’s homeland nuclear defense. Air defense alerts and flying intercept missions sure as heck count as combat in any thinking person’s book.

Check out the F-102 Delta Dagger's accident rate compared to today's fighters here: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/history/q0185.shtml

Let's not forget that FDR and Woodrow Wilson were also presidents during wartime and never served in the military.

Since when does military service matter to democrats?

They knocked Dan Quayle for serving in the National Guard,,,,they knocked George Bush for serving in the National Guard,,,while their hero, the draft-dodging Bill Clinton was protesting against our country overseas!!!

If it was for double standards, democrats would have NONE!
