"From what I can gather, Kerry botched a joke. That's what he said, and I take him at his word. He served in combat. Last time I checked, the president and the vice president did not."

Hey Bob, what's your military record? Were you a fighter pilot like President Bush was? No? Then what gives you standing to disparage anyone else's service or lack thereof?

Oh, and Bush and Cheney are serving as war time co-commanders in chief. That to me trumps whatever John Kerry THINKS he did in a war 35 years ago, one you Dems. called "unjust" and "evil" but now suddenly find such virtue in. So I'll take Bush and Cheney's experience commanding the military in a time of national danger as giving them more standing to DEFEND the troops than the experience of Kerry who spent Vietnam tossing grenades into piles of rice as giving him standing to ATTACK the military, as he's done many, many times.

This is part of a pattern for Kerry, Bob something that maybe you'd know if you weren't such a pathetic empty suit.

" . . . whatever John Kerry THINKS he did in a war 35 years ago . . ."

Oh, you mean those three whole months he served on a swift boat, including spending Christmas in Cambodia? And before his fake purple hearts enabled him to insist on going back stateside and abandoning his men?

Afterwards, those fond memories fighting at home for the troops by accusing them of rape, murder, and pillage, reminiscent of Ghengis Khan, before a congressional committee?
