Couldn't face all the tar and feathers that were waiting for him. Seems to me if you said something like what he said, you ought to stand up like a man and take your medicine.

CNN is crying in their soup. I saw them yesterday when Bush was speaking on Kerry's remark - they tried to spin it and played Kerry's non apology right before and after Bush talking

What remarks??? All I get is the New York Times and Washington Post. Did John Kerry make some remarks???
To: 2banana
It's funny how all of the MSM "clearly" sees that Kerry was targeting Bush when no one else does.
To: truthandlife
I hope someone photographs him windsurfing instead of campaigning.

The Post had it hidden on the inside of the A section today. I started laughing when I saw where they decided to run it. You know they had huge hand-wringing meetings over whether to run it, realized they'd look stupid if they didn't, so decided to hide discreetly on the same page with one of their routine hatchet jobs on Allen's campaign.

Seems to me if you said something like what he said, you ought to stand up like a man and take your medicine.Kerry could have nipped this in the bud if he had just issued a press release the next day apologizing for the comment without condition.
But like liberals everywhere, he is always fighting the last battle instead of figuring out how to fight the current one. Libs treat Iraq like Vietnam instead of ... Iraq. And Kerry, having been ripped by his own side by waiting to respond to the Swifties (not that anything different would have mattered), decided to immediately counterattack here, instead of taking a moment and thinking through the consequences of doing such.

While I do think Kerry was trying to make another cheap "Bush is uneducated and stupid" shot despite having had worse grades that Bush in college (and despite the fact that Bush has graduate degrees, thus plenty of education), I'm very happy to see it blow up in his face. They do have contempt for "less educated" people, which is why that was the focus of his joke.

Kerry just reminded millions of voters that the dems royally suck.
"Thanks, Mr. Smartypants." :-)

Why would he cancel his campaigning just because he criticized Bush's policy in Iraq?
Shouldn't Bush cancel his campaigning instead? And apologize while he's at it?

Sounds like ol' Kerry is getting the Gore treatment of 2004. Algore couldn't give away a candidate endorsement. 'snicker'

If you watch Kerry's video, in the middle of the sentence just before the "stuck in Iraq", he pauses for breath and looks down to his written speech on the podium to make sure he gets the line correct.
Lurch did not misspeak, he delivered his speech as written.
To: truthandlife
They have Kerry's "corrected" quote LOL!
BUT NOT THE ACTUAL QUOTE!
