Rep. Charles Rangel: 'No Animosity' Toward Cheney

Rep. Charles Rangel feels bad - but not too bad - about directing a curse word at Vice President Dick Cheney.

Rangel, a Harlem Democrat who regularly exchanges verbal volleys with the vice president, called Cheney a "son of a b...." on Monday when asked by the New York Post about comments Cheney made about him in a television interview.

He repeated his comments in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday, but added, "I shouldn't have said it."
...
"The vice president is going to continue to talk about the clear record on taxes - Republicans voting to lower taxes . . . and he's also going to continue to talk about the Democrats' position on taxes," said McBride.

Does Charles Rangel mean what he says, or he just "joshin'" all the time. Which is it?

Vice President Cheney doesn't say what he doesn't mean: He says what he means.

Is that the new Democrat Party apology?

"I was joking?"

Words mean nothing to Dems so DON'T BELIEVE anything the say and especially their campaign promises.

Apparently that must be what people in Charlie's circle of friends and lovers consider a verbal love-tap. Must get rough at times, I'd expect, but that probably just builds their character.

What I wonder is what CR would have to say to be really insulting?

Dirtboy's description yesterday of Jean Francois as a reusable political suicide bomber is also a pretty good description of the party as a whole anymore.

If only all the nation's enemies were this dang dumb.

I agree.

Democrats assert that Republicans are the "culture of corruption". Is it because Republicans not only say what they mean, but carry through on what they say.

Democrats are alleging that Republicans are "evil" because they don't joke around or use words "litely". And when they do, as in Trent Lott, the Republican targetted by the Dems and MSM is supposed to quit his position and grovel to the "Jokers".

Democrats are obviously highly paid comedians posing as serious representatives of the United States. We are somehow supposed to know when they mean things "raising taxes" and when they are just "joking". I suppose we are supposed to hire "interpreters" of the DNC message - specific "MSM" spokespersons, reporters, journalists, and talking heads.

They are just joking around, according to how the MSM reports the news.

Vote Republican - your life and that of your neighbor -- depends on it.

This is not a joke.

A priest, a rabbi, and an imam walk into a bar.

The bartender asks, "What is this, some kind of joke?"

--or--

A priest, a rabbi, and an imam walk into a bar.

A Buddhist monk says, "That must've hurt!"
