"We send these conservatives up to Washington, DC...do you think there are more than maybe 200 of them total?"

Elected conservatives who actually walk the talk? I doubt that there are more than 100 of them total between the two parties. Now, if what you're talking about are faux conservatives who mouth the conservative line while doing the polar opposite, there are plenty of those.

"And we get upset when the liberals that live and work in DC, that were put there by over 60 years of socialist Democratic rule, that comprise the thousands of jobs in the Federal burocracy, won't allow them to do there jobs."

Politicians always seem to have an excuse for why they can't quite do what they were elected to do. The excuses wear thin when you consider that the party in question currently controls both the Federal government and most state governments. The bureaucracy works for the elected leadership, not the other way around.

The DC metro area has several million people...the Federal Gov'mt is the largest employer. We the people, have a real problem...one much bigger than even a Ronald Reagan sized conservative. For one thing, IMHO, one congressman per very 50,000 people in the USA would substantially increase the House and give it much more control. "K Street" ...the lobbyists office grounds, runs far more in DC than anything you or my state delegation to DC could ever hope to claim.
