Who’s Fueling The Racial Hatred? [Tan Nguyen calls out Loretta Sanchez]

Who’s Fueling The Racial Hatred? -- Tan Nguyen speech, Oct. 28, Garden Grove California

I don’t know for sure who’s behind the hysteria…who’s fueling the racial hatred…who’s dividing the community…but Ms. Sanchez’s fingerprints are all over this.

I don’t know if my opponent had a hand in urging the raid on my office.

But, on October 20, the O.C. Register reported that Ms. Sanchez had PRIOR KNOWLEDGE of the Attorney General’s intention to seek arrests.

I don’t know for sure whether that newspaper article was correct. However, I do know that Ms. Sanchez speaks Spanish.

Ms. Sanchez must have known all along that the letter was not designed to intimidate anyone and was certainly not criminal. But, that fact didn’t stop Ms. Sanchez from stepping forward…not stepping forward to tell the truth about the word Emigrado.

Instead, she stepped forward with buckets of gasoline to pour on the fire until it became a raging inferno.

Ms. Sanchez then stood by smiling while the campaign offices of her opponent…who was winning the election…were raided.

Ms. Sanchez was silent when armed police invaded my offices at the very time I had scheduled a news conference. Ms. Sanchez did not object when all the computers and files were seized. Ms. Sanchez did not express any objection to the simultaneous raid on my house which terrorized my family.

Ms. Sanchez did not condemn the use of force by the state which came less than 3 three weeks before the election.

The truth is, I am not surprised.

Ms. Sanchez does not have the courage to condemn Hezbollah, a terrorist group that killed 241 of our Marines…or the courage to commend our soldiers who are bleeding and dying in Iraq for the very principles that have been violated here.

So, what did Ms. Sanchez actually do?

She called for a demonstration against a letter she knew did not intimidate anyone.

However, when it was revealed that the word EMIGRADO referred to green card holders who can’t vote legally, she said “Uh Oh.” And Ms. Sanchez did not even have the courage to show up at her own rally.

Ms. Sanchez has done nothing for our community in the 10 years she has held office.

Ms. Sanchez has been very good at raising money though.

She has collected over 10 million dollars over the years.

Ms. Sanchez has had no qualms about accepting thousands of dollars from would be defense contractors while she sits on the ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE.

Ms. Sanchez has been very good at getting elected by racial pandering. Whether waving the Mexican flag or waving the flag of South Vietnam.

I believe in only one flag.

That flag is standing behind me.

That is the flag of the United States of American and I will always stand behind that flag.

Thank you.

(Tan Nguyen)

According to the LA Times: Latinos make up 35% of registered voters in the district, Asians make up 18%.

but why has the OC Republican Establishment tried to throw him overboard - even [urging] him to drop out of the race?

Because you'll find more balls at a hockey game than you will find in the California Republican Party.

Whether Tan wins this one or not, I hope we'll be hearing from him for a VERY LONG time.

Thanks very much. That too much of a disparity.

What are the chances that Tan will win?

I think the percentage of eligible Latinos who vote is lower than Asians. Even assuming that all or the vast majority of voting Latinos would vote for Sanchez against Tan -- an assumption i'm not prepared to accept -- Tan could still win based on higher turnout levels from non-Latino voters.

The thing I liked about Tan's speech is that he says he doesn't want to appeal to people based on ethnicity. He'll leave that tactic to Sanchez.

Here's the speech Tan's wife gave:

Hello everyone, My name is Hanh Lam, and I am Tan’s wife. I want to thank you all for coming here today. I probably know Tan better than anyone. I can tell you that Tan is the type of man who has never been afraid to be honest and direct. If he sends out a letter, he would not be afraid to sign it. I want to take this opportunity to introduce to you our son, Evan Viet. He is too young to understand what has happened. But, I am sure that when he grows up, he will be very proud of his dad…just as I am now. I am happy to stand by Tan, and I am so grateful that you are also standing by Tan. Once again, thank you everyone for coming out and supporting our situation. Remember to vote on November 7th. Thank you.

Here's an excerpt from a powerful speech given by Mr. Harris at the Tan rally:

Thanks to the timing of this raid, we all got to hear and watch the police performing the raid. We all have been trained to assume that Tan must be guilty. Guilty of something!

Meanwhile, no one paid too much attention to the fact that the press reported that the Attorney General had met with and provided information as to his plans with Tan’s political opponent, Ms. Sanchez, before the raid.

The Attorney General was also reported to have met with or provided information to political leaders. If this is true we, we must ask WHY???

In America, State Police are not supposed to be used to protect the candidacy of an incumbent in a Federal Election. It is not a crime for an average citizen to come out of nowhere, and expose a politician’s voting record, and be ahead in the polls with the voters.

Why couldn’t the raid have been done after Tan had a chance to present his side at a news conference?

Why couldn’t the Attorney General have waited for three more weeks until after the election was done, to search Tan’s office…if a search was really necessary? This is America, and these are some of the questions that must be asked.

This is what must be investigated!

Ms. Sanchez was failing in her election until the Attorney General provided video and audio tape of agents searching these offices and carrying out all of the computers used to campaign against her.

No evidence of any crime has been found on the computers, yet the video and audio tapes that were played on the radio and T.V. are embedded in our minds.

We must ask WHY this election has been interfered with! We must ask WHY!

And now I would like to introduce Hanh Lam, the wife of Tan Nguyen.

Thanks for posting the 2 speeches.

Nothing is beneath Sanchez, and those backing her.
