Certainly food for thought. The dems are quite confident of taking back the House. I think a very interesting outcome would be for the GOP to increase seats in the Senate or stay the same (thus protecting a potential future conservative nominee to the Supreme Court), while losing the House.

We would clearly take back the House in 2008 with a very large majority, Pelosi et al would be a disaster, and we would finally be able to clean the stables of such muck as Hastert et al.

We are not going to lose the House no matter how much AP says we are especially with John Kerry shooting off his mouth last night and today.

Last time we lost we wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. You are wrong. Defeat is defeat. There is no honor and no gain in losing.

I would trade a gain of a few seats in the Senate for control of the House in a heartbeat.

WE NEED TO REPLACE HASTERT ET AL.

The GOP in the House has been governing on fumes these past many years.

The last time the Democrats "took" the House, they held it for forty years.

I hope we don't take that kind of chance.

They're counting their chickens way, way too early.

'Rat psyops and black propoganda designed to drive Republicans away from the polls.

If you guys really think that the Dems would keep the house for more than two years with Pelosi, Rangel, Hastings etc.... then this country is much more liberal than I would have thought possible.

I was watching Fox tonight and the round table discussion consensus was a minimum of 25 seats going Democratic.

A great many "conservative Dems" will be elected which will lead to an unworkable governing majority in the House for Pelosi.

I think the #1 issue against the GOP this year is not Katrina, Iraq, Foley, but sheer incompetence.

The bright side is this loss will give us a chance to get rid of our horrible leadership (at least in the House!)

I can't wait for November 8th, when you and the democrat media pundits are proven wrong.

Last time we lost we wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.

And every minute of it sucked. Day after day for all those years of getting it in the rear by the Dems. I haven't forgotten Carter and 19% interest rates. There was a stretch where we made more profit by putting money in CDs instead of inventory for the business. Pretty damn sad.

You are right. Losing is LOSING. These people that think we will somehow come out ahead and teach the party a lesson by losing the House will be apopletic after 6 months of Pelosi, Waxman, Rangle et al running the House.

Poor Mr. Watson, lving in the delusions, just like the democrat media.

Like I said I can't wait for November 8th to watch you and the democrats cry in your Starbucks.

There's no bright side to losing the House. The Dems "flightplan" is for chaos. Charges against the President, repeal of tax breaks, defunding the troops in Iraq and wrecking the economy.
