Wouldn't the fact that Bush graduated from Yale and got a master's degree from Harvard contradict this attempted explanation?

liberal callers to local talk radio around here say the same thing all the time. They say the other group of recruits are delinquents who get the the opportunity of going into the military rather than doing time.
Alan Colmes tried the same ploy tonight, blaming it on a stupid joke but Michael Barone wasn't buying any of it and subtly implied Colmes was an idiot in believing anyone would. Frank Luntz (Pollster) said Kerry's statement will mobilize the pubbies like no other and the fact that Pelosi/Reid or other party leaders haven't come out to denounce it may have the opposite affect on their base. Me thinks Kerry just gave us our October surprise.
