It just hit 57%. That "yes" response was so twisted that pretzels are envious.

Leave it to MessNBC to try to put the most innocent sounding spin on Kerry's remarks, and to provide two responses that support Kerry and only one that does not.

The yes answer is slanted because Kerry never implied the military was a step up for people. This poll is a joke. Yes; the military has long been a step up for those with less education. 31%

I voted and the results were exactly the same as those you posted. I don't think CNN is counting all of the votes for yes.

Leave it to MessNBC to try to put the most innocent sounding spin on Kerry's remarks, and to provide two responses that support Kerry and only one that does not. I would disagree -- that first one doesn't support Kerry at all.
I believe that is what he really meant, in his opinion the military is mostly made up of dropouts and such.
That is the answer that does him/the Ds the most damage. Cuz it reinforces the elitist, condescending attitude he and his have towards the military.

119249 responses That's the most astounding part, to me.
That's not just us FReepers. Even the CNN public isn't buying this.

To me that response says "I agree with Kerry that the military has always been a dumping ground for society's drop-out." The one we're all checking is the one that points out his remarks were insulting. The one you're talking about says basically that Kerry is right.
