"I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq." - Senator John Kerry
What I wonder is if anyone can find where he as used this particular phrase, that he says he uses 'All the time".
If not than he is again lying. A simple google search turnd up nothing.

If this was true, they'd have already released video/audio of him saying it "correctly"

Baloney. Kerry has stepped on his own crank again, and now he's trying to weasel out of it - as usual.
John Kerry, Tower of Jello.

Hilarious that his first statement said nothing about a mangled reading of a prepared statement. I'm not saying he just made the prepared statement up in the interim but...
Sure loooks like he made the prepared statement up after his gaffe.

Yale grades portray Kerry as a lackluster studentIn 1999, The New Yorker published a transcript indicating that Bush had received a cumulative score of 77 for his first three years at Yale and a roughly similar average under a non-numerical rating system during his senior year.
Kerry authorizes release of his full military and medical records. A7.
Kerry, who graduated two years before Bush, got a cumulative 76 for his four years, according to a transcript that Kerry sent to the Navy when he was applying for officer training school. He received four D's in his freshman year out of 10 courses, but improved his average in later years.

If so, then he is violating the 1st rule of politics. Which is when you get into situations like this, and you will, you need to apologize immediately and make a joke about yourself.

You're right, we DON'T CARE WHAT THIS MORON
MEANT TO SAY.
Can you say "Freudian Slip?"
I didn't think so.
And you say you got it from Kerry's people???
ROFLMAO!!!
Prince John Kerry shown shortly BEFORE his remarks about our men and women in uniform (jocularly referred to by the Kerrys among their cocktail party pals as The PROLES). The good prince spends most of his day in this position, emerging only to inhale the sweet air of liberty provided him and his elitist moron friends by said proles.

If that is what Lurch meant, he's basically saying that if you don't study, you can become President.
That does not make sense.
Lame attempt at damage control.

Doesn't make sense anyway. The President has an MBA -- he's certainly no slouch.

He may have meant to say that, but he didn't, and then stupidly instead of just apologizing for it he comes out attacking everyone in sight for his own flub.
John Kerry is an abject imbecile. If he'd just contritely apologized it would be over and done with, a blip rapidly replaced in the 24 hour news cycle... instead he offers a non apologetic "apology" and keeps the thing living and growing.. this man is amazingly stupid.
Dems have got to be kicking themselves for putting this guy up as their candidate... he may be the first losing presidential candidate to cost his party 2 elections in a row.

"Mis-statement or not, you've just seen footage of the first negative ad in the '08 campaign, if Kerry runs."
Hillary's people splicing a "Kerry's Greatest Hits" tv ad right now.
Sooo much to choose from...

This reminds me of some of my mom's students who, after getting their corrected test back, would come up to her and say "That's what I was going to write" (while pointing to the correct answer). Of course, my mom would always say "Your original (incorrect) answer stays".
Sure, Kerry was going to say that (rolls eyes). I don't believe it for one moment. He not only has terrible disdain for the troops, but he's a horrible liar.

And found nothing. If this is a Kerry lie, then prepare for future Google bombing.

President Bush has a bachelors from Yale and a MBA from Harvard. His grade point and SAT's are at least equal if not higher than Kerry's was. If those facts I stated are true, and they are, how could Kerry be talking about Bush and not the troops, many who have only high school diplomas? He's a punk.
