Excellent reply. I was an Army man myself and thinking of the street level tactical decisions that are made in combat by our young officers and NCOs. Are not many of our naval officers trained on the ins and outs of nuclear reactors? I'd wager that those boys are head and shoulders above in the smarts department when compared to some birkenstock wearing, hemp shirt clad, dreadlock having GLBT studies major with a minor in Global Warming studies.

So very well put. My daughter graduated high school at 16, 2 years of local community college and DEP'd out to the Navy when she turned 18. We lived in a rural backwater of California's central coast. She chose Fire Control and spent the next 2 years (minus bootcamp ofcourse)studying and learning. That's intensive math and electronics. She was the first female CWIS tech on one of the major carriers. She was distinguished military scholar in A school and 3rd in her class in C school. Now she is out and studing for her MBA at a major university.

I don't think J F'n Skerry could hold a candle to her (or any of her ship mates) now or then. He's a scumbag. His statements are so typical of the lefts' "and you know what kind of people go into the military..." attitude. They can't pass the ASFAB so they put down those who can.
