Mike Berger, left, who made a film called Improbable Collapse, and J.A. Calhoun, Green Party candidate for the 2nd Congressional District, talk outside Math Auditorium at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists spoke there Sunday. (Post / Lyn Alweis)

If anything, Jones appears embarrassed by all the attention. Quiet and self-effacing, he's an unlikely hero for 9/11 conspiracy theorists of every stripe, but that's exactly what he's become.

Not many physicists ever become worshipped heroes. Methinks that's the whole point.

A physicist whose background includes work on nuclear fusion,...

There's a clue right there.

So Bush was smart enough to plan 9/11 but not smart enough to plant WMD's?

And these people think they're so clever. Pathetic!

But this guy is dead wrong!

I was kidnapped by little green men, who told me they were really responsible for 9/11.

"It's really been fascinating in a way," he said. "We've been able to watch the birth of the completely out-of-control allegations that could not be true for so many reasons."

Fascinating that he is fascinated.

I believe the whole thing is tin foil hat stuff. But even if the guy did find thermite at the site, who's to say it wasn't somehow planted in the building before the original 1993 attempt to blow up the place? The fact that he immediately suspects the government shows his colors.

Cue the Twilight Zone music.

IIRC, Wednesday night will have episodes of the Twilight Zone, at least on a PBS station in NYC, channel 13, 8 or 9PM.

If it was a government plot it would have had to involve 100s of people to pull it off . Not ONE of them let the cat out of the bag in all these years? Spare me .Oh , I know , the govt. killed them all. This guy is out there and %50 of the American public has it's head up it's arse.
