I tend to believe that Muslims, at least in the culture of the MidEast, do not "make love". They obvious have sex (consensual or otherwise), but don't "make love"!
They think it is love. On Ask The Imam, there is a lengthy defense of the concept of slavery.
And the Imam agree that having sex with your slaves is how you show them you love them.
