I am afraid that it is going to collapse if they want to build 200 stories. It's a monument to ego - there's no economic reason to build this building.
Two blocks on either side of the main drag in Dubai is desert - miles and miles and miles of empty, barren sand.
Building "up" in this situation is an expression of grandiosity. It would be the same as if a crazed multibillionaire in the US built a hundred story skyscraper in the middle of a corn field...
