All I will say is that the newspaper industry is definitely ailing...

I'm with you!!!!!!!!! Those short "paragraphs" drive me nuts. They're not paragraphs. They seem to function as some sort of a cover-up for lack of continuity and general good development of ideas. Oh, don't get me started ...
But, but, but... Professional reporters are learned writers who have been teached real good in in them there college and journalism classes theya re so proud of how to write, right?
us pajama-types can't criticize them, can we?

Great toon. I can't read the creator's name, though. Is it Glenn McCoy?

CBS could be number one in six months if they did the following:
1. Fire Couric
2. Hire someone like Brit Hume (at about 1/4 Couric's salary)to do the news hour.
3. Hire the conservative Brent Bozzell and a liberal Pat Caddell to act as honest ombudsmen to see that both sides of the news, left and right are presented fairly.
4. Sit back and watch the ratings soar, sit back and watch the money roll in, sit back and watch Rather biased Dan levitate off the ground as his head spins atop his body and shouts at the top of his lungs, "THE HORROR THE HORROR THE HORROR." and collapse into a weeping whining wasted wimp.

The audience-ratings honeymoon for Katie Couric is overHoneymoon? More like a one night stand.
And you know what that makes Katie.

Why do something simple that would work?!
To: cpdiii
You are asking CBS to be FAIR and SMART!!! How UNFAIR of you!!

Couric tells USA Today, "We kind of ignore people who are observing everything we do and praising, criticizing or analyzing it, and we're just doing what we want."Journalism for Dummies 1.0
