We have had wonderful support and interest in the original DIANA IREY COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY THREAD and we encourage all to visit it if you missed it the first time around.

You know how conservative rallies differ from lib rallies...people tend to cheerlead on the positive comments, versus boo & hiss and yell nasty stuff about the other side. But there were several times when murtha's name came up and people booed very loudly and yelled out "TRAITOR!". I was honestly surprised at the level of anger his name invoked.
I was standing & chatting with people around me, and twice I talked to people who, like me, have family "out Pittsburgh way", in murtha's soon-to-be ex-district. Lots of people in this area have familial connections to district 12. There is a high awareness of what is going on and a high level of outrage at murtha's treasonous comments. I'm sure this reflects sentiment from his district. Families do talk.

Late Thursday afternoon, the IREY CAMP ANNOUNCED it’s
‘CREATE A TV OR WEB AD FOR DIANA!' CONTEST.
Within TWELVE HOURS, FReeper W04Man, had made the first entry!

Diana had a Board of Commissioners, Volunteer Appreciation luncheon today.

Friday afternoon was spent making fund-raising calls.

I encourage everyone to help Diana by calling conservative republican members of congress and ask if they have publicly endorsed or contributed to Diana Irey for Congress. If they answer “no”, encourage them to do so.

Frank had a football game which Diana was able to attend this week.
It was Homecoming, so Tori did not have a performance.
Ali had a field trip to Swann Lake, returning in time for a birthday party in the evening.
Diana was interviewed on The Furious Truth with Kit Jarrell, live at 11:00 PM.
The Furious Truth with Kit Jarrell is internet radio that airs LIVE on Wideawakes Radio (WAR) on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 pm to 11 pm (CST). Formerly known as Seeing Red with Kit and Heidi, the show–now minus co-host Heidi–offers intelligent commentary on war, illegal immigration, and terrorism, and brings you the best interviews on the web.
Apparently, Diana enjoyed the interview and wanted a repeat. At approximately 2:30 AM she was insisting that she had overslept and had to get up to do the interview with Kit. Bob informed her she had already done the interview and she should go back to sleep. Diana’s comment? “My poor husband!”

Diana attended the Bentleyville Halloween Parade. Although she was in the parade as the Washington County Commissioner she was greeted by many wishing her the best in her Congressional race.
The evening took Diana, Bob and Mr. Clark, Diana’s wonderful and engaging father, to the Green County Republican Fall Dinner where Diana was the featured speaker.
Diana was enthusiastically received by all in attendance, including the token Democrat and the Independents. She was presented with a rather large sling shot to assist her in the slaying of the giant.
Greg Hopkins, who is running for PA State Representative in the 50th, also spoke.
Greg is a former professional football player that is deeply concerned about the state of our country. Keep your eyes and ears open for more news on this up and coming political star and BACHELOR!
Representatives from Lynn Swann and Rick Santorum’s campaigns spoke about the importance of the GOTV campaign.
The food was outstanding and Diana actually had time to eat. She also managed to put away FIVE desserts!!!
Meanwhile, back at FreeRepublic, the FReeper’s creative juices were flowing!
RedRover brought us another exciting edition of Red’s IREY FUNNIES!
RedRover has also created some outstanding ads that could be used as very effective flyers as the volunteers walk the precincts!

Diana and her family attended church this morning followed by a short jaunt to Mountainview Inn in Greensburg, PA to attend a fund-raising luncheon, followed by a campaign rally in her honor with former Congressman, Pat Toomey.
It was difficult to get an exact count, but Smoothsailing said he counted over 100 at the rally portion. When Diana said that Murtha had upset a lot of veterans, one of those veterans in the back of the room said, “Yes he has!” Diana then had all the veterans in the room raise their hand and they were given a heartfelt round of applause.
Diana was then whisked off by her body guard/driver/Marine to a Steeler Tailgate party hosted by a fellow Commissioner.
Several members of the Mon-Valley Leathernecks and Marine Corp League members also attended and made a point of expressing their support of Diana in her Congressional race.
I am told Diana had nachos! ;*)
