I was actually being sarcastic. Teachers aren't criminally charged when they discuss and/or demonstrate "sex-ed" topics such as putting condoms on a banana or show videos about such things. Nor should they be criminally charged when they show the possible RESULTS of their activities using (or not using) condoms.

If the children are "old enough" for "sex-ed," they are "old enough" to see the possible RESULTS!!!

At 10 and 11, these kids were not yet exposed to sex ed videos, so your analogy fails. At that age, sex ed is still limited to technical discussions about periods, discussions about inappropriate touching, an introduction to the concept of sexual harassment, and perhaps an anatomy chart or two. If condom demonstrations even occur at that age (and they don't even in my fairly liberal California school district), they happen on bananas.

Detailed sex-ed instruction doesn't generally begin until later in middle school. That's when the poorly produced movies come out and the banana is put away in favor of "anatomically correct" sex toys.
