LONDON - Unchecked global warming will devastate the world economy on the scale of the world wars and the Great Depression, a major British report said Monday.

British Treasury chief Gordon Brown, who commissioned the report, said former Vice President Al Gore, who has dedicated much time to warning of the effects of global warming, would advise the British government on climate change.

Introducing the report, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said unabated climate change would eventually cost the world between 5 percent and 20 percent of global gross domestic product each year.

They are no longer friends of mine. And Global Warming is nothing but hysterical nonsense.Only 43% of Americans voted for Clinton in the first election. We have our share of idiots over here, they are called Democrats.

I agree that changes are afoot. My problem has to do with the causes. Sounds like you live in a lovely place and I hope it stays that way. To me the jury is still out. Maybe no one will know what causes them, as if we can truly change what we did not create, or rather we may have to adapt to these changes over time as if they are entirely normal. Wish you well, hope you don't need stilts for that house!
