See Florida 'Stand Your Ground' Law Explained. Sometimes referred to as the Castle Doctrine, it's a law removing the "retreat and run away" requirements when faced with an assailant, hence the "stand your ground" moniker.

What is "Stand your Ground"?

It means that there is no "duty to retreat" before employing lethal force to defend your property.
