He puts the money where his mouth is. Not only dose he advocate boarder security, he spearheads the house bill to build a fence. Before then, he was responsible for building the fence that is in place here in San Diego. Furthermore, he was the first politician to come out against CNN's sniper video, demanding that there imbed privileges be pulled.
Hunter has consistently supported all the Marine and Sailors in his district. The bottom line is he is the real deal. Not some flaky politician.
I think he would be great. He is my rep even. I am very lucky to have someone who actually represents the way I think.
I just think it is a real challenge for a congressman to achieve the Presidency. In modern history it does not look good for him in this regard. He is skipping a step or two and going for the big one.
