And have been since his Dukakis nomination speech in 1988!

The first of many forgettable-but-for-its-gasbagginess clinton (either) speeches. (At a constant temperature the volume of a confined gas varies inversely with its pressure.)

Under ordinary circumstances, that speech would have ensured instant oblivion for the duo.

But, as luck would have it, no one of substance wanted to run against the other Bush, what with his polls numbers exceeding 90% after the Gulf War. (Think of it as today inverted....)

So the way was clear for the corrupt clown from Hot Springs. And the rest is history. Or should I say, 'And the end of history....'??

Indeed. And I suspect the people most helped would be the Ds in DC.
