The clintons had better ease up on the outstretched palm bit. At their age there is the very real danger of the joints locking up, putting them in a permanent state of beggary.

"She's been an even better senator than I thought she'd be . . . [She is the] ablest person I have ever known in public life."
The two embraced, before Bill took a seat on a stool several feet away, staying onstage.
"To share a commitment and a love of not only each other, but of our country, has been just an extraordinary privilege," Sen. Clinton said before she delved into a red-meat speech blasting Republicans.
She called the White House guilty of "arrogance and incompetence . . . a particularly lethal combination," saying the Bush administration wants "to turn back the clock on the 20th century."
