If memory serves me, PRIVATE INDUSTRY decided to send factories and smelters overseas.
So, domestic ones can't keep up.HMMM.
Would you rather some soldier in Iraq not have what he needs to do his job, while Union Labor produces only what they have to?

Good point. It would be much better to have all the smelters located in, say, China. Then should we get into a war with China we won't have to worry about those pesky American labor unions mucking up weapons production.
