The forces of radical Islam are getting very bold in Malaysia; an American couple was subjected to a humiliating, terrifying 2 am khalwat inspection by religious enforcement officers:
Retired American policeman Randal Barnhart, who was subjected to a 2am raid by religious enforcement officers, is reconsidering his plan to make Malaysia his second home.
After that unpleasant episode two weeks ago, I do not feel like making Malaysia my second home. It is a pity because both my wife and I really love Langkawi, he said.
On Oct 12, Barnhart, 62, and his wife Carole, 61, were in their rented condominium in Kuah when enforcement officers continuously knocked on their door at 2am, accusing them of committing khalwat (close proximity).
He said the officers demanded to see his marriage certificate, although he had told them that they were Christians and should not be subjected to Islamic law.
We find it difficult to forget the unpleasant episode. My wife was so terrified by the incident that she fears sleeping in that condominium, he added.
Banhart said the officers were rude and insisted on seeing the woman when he opened the door. My wife had to show herself despite only having a sarong on at that time. We felt humiliated for being treated this way, he said.
He said he had to send his wife back to the United States on the next available flight because she feared people might return to the condominium to terrify her in the middle of the night.
She flew home on Wednesday.
I want the religious department to apologise to me and my wife in writing,

Yeah, I noticed that too. Around our house we don't open the door to stranger at 2am. In fact we don't open it in daytime if we don't know for sure why they are there. Talking through the door isn't difficult.

Wow....Good catch.
I am very confused.
That picture was on my home page and I have not used it in a long time.
The properties under that picture are :
http://www.siamlady.com/Images/talibansingles.jpg
which I did post, and the "real" taliban singles were burka women which was up for quite a while.
Now this.
Maybe some DU Kos troll got us ?
I do not know what happened.

As an apology, I'd settle for a mass suicide by all islamatards. I'd accept that apology.

the fact that i don't use the shift key while i TYPE shouldn't make a difference, imho. when i WRITE, i do, of course, use capital letters. and my spoken english far outshines many i come across, even if i speak it with a strong n. texas twang. furthermore, i'm not writing a college thesis or anything that would require me to use proper typing etiquette.
when you type as fast as i do, combined with the fact that i keep long nails and have some joint issues, i would kindly ask that my lack of shift-key use be overlooked. there's only so much a girl's hands can do, you know! ;)

send the suspicious ones that are here packing right back to their countries of origin. I completely agree. We have the right to get rid of ANY foreigner who we think is up to no good, and yet many times we do not, out of fear of being un-p.c.
Political correctness will be the death of us.

Gosh, you remember me? I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. : )
Yes, the Mayo Clinic is amazing. Some of the patients who I met had literally had their lives saved by the docs there, when other doctors had given up. Anyone who has a problem should just bypass their local docs, and go where the experts are.
Thanks for the tip. I will have to go back up sooner or later. I'll check out Lanesboro. The area is beautiful. I was amazed, however, at the property values. Rochester is a very small town, and the houses are twice as expensive as they are where I live.

I don't know what kind of police officer Randal Barnhart was, but it looks like retired police officers don't like 2 AM Raids by the police where the nearly naked wife is humilated in front of the raiding party any more than any other person...

[the leftists] constantly talk about not wanting anyone going into their bedrooms....never hear them make a peep about this kind of thing. As you know, they really believe, (and have said as much...see Rosie Odummel) that "religious right" is "religious right."
They really think that Pat Roberts == Ayatolla America.
They see 'reactionary conservatives' as an imminent threat just like a druggie sees a cop as his most immediate enemy.
A druggie doesn't think about the dealers/co-druggies as threats, even though they are de-facto criminals. Leftists, for the moment, see the Islamists as fighting the evil Bushco, and that's enough for them. Mao etc would make friends with anyone, let anyone die, purge any loyal friend.....if it moved him closer to a near term goal.
It actually makes complete sense if you stand on your head.

Make Pelosi the Speaker of the house, and it might come quicker.
Pundits talk about her as Speaker being number three in line to be president. Actually, she would be # 2 in line if something happened to GW.

McCoy sums up, who really supports the stay at home to punish the Republicans by allowing the rats to control the house and senate. One wonders who much of this cut and run posting and behavior has been financed by George $oreA$$ and Opecker Princes/Thugs.

Punctuation wasn't developed to torture or punish, but because it increases readability and comprehension. Not using punctuation decreases readability and comprehension and requires greater effort on the part of the reader, so you the writer can make less effort.
That you can't be bothered to standardize your communication says that you care more about your own convenience than that of others, which is epitome of bad manners.
Proper punctuation is really just consideration for others.

people, take it easy. i didn't forget any commas or periods, did i? no misplaced colons or run-on sentences that my bad eyes can see. i try to post in paragraphs instead of mega-blocks. apparently, my posts are still quite readable, are they not. it's just one key that i negate use of when i am writing casually. the SHIFT KEY. i don't remember paying tuition to sign up on F.R. i'm not writing a thesis or research paper for professors, nor am i writing out my resume. bloody, hell, why are some getting their knickers in a bloody twist over this? there are better things to do, are there not. your conclusion that i'm ill-mannered because i skip one function key is a bit much, mate.
besides, i've seen worse grammar & typing etiquette on a couple of posts on FR and i haven't seen many complaining.
