A local radio station hosted a debate Friday with Wetterling (D), Bachmann (R) and Binkowdki (I). When the host asked Wetterling to explain her false ad of Bachmann raising taxes, Patty Wetterling tried to defend herself - but realized she didn't know what she was talking about. Then she acted like a true liberal when caught: she cut and ran -- took off her headphones and bravely ran away.
Snip:
Thompson (host): But Patty, the issue is youre implying through that ad, and the Star Tribune agrees with me, Channel 4 agrees with me, that this is part of something Michele Bachmann wants to do to raise taxes. She is not a tax raiser, her record in the Senate is such, shes never indicated she wants to raise the overall tax rate.Wetterling: She voted to raise property taxes in the Senate. She did that.
Bachmann: You cannot vote Patty, I hate to burst your bubble, you cant vote to raise property taxes.
Wetterling: Its part of the budget, it is part of the budget. [then some crosstalk]
At this point, they went to a commercial break. When they returned, Thompson said, I dont think Patty Wetterling likes me. She left.
Read the debate transcript - Wetterling didn't know the difference between a flat and fair tax -- then accuses Bachmann of raising property taxes (something a state legislator cannot do) and it goes downhill from there.
She doesn't need facts. She has FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLINGGGGGGGGGGGS!!!!
What do the polls indicate about this race?
They are better now.
Bachmann is trouncing Bed-Wetterling in debates all over the place and sticking it to the biased media! If you have the stomach for it, go to wcco.com and watch her slap back Pat Kessler's first question.
Who is supposed to win this seat? Is it a "D" or "R" district?
Maybe she was 'Wetterling' herself.
Still a toss-up?
Geeezzzzzzzzzzzzz Democrats...........LOL!
The laughable StarTribune poll has Wetterling up by 8.
RealClear Politics stats here.
bttt
i'll bet about half of the young dems are in her league
That StarTribune poll is more than two weeks old.
AM wondering if there are several seats "off the radar" that may go "R". Here's our Indiana example:

This is an R seat currently held by Mark Kennedy, who is running for Senate in a vacant D-hold seat.
LOL stupid dems. This made my night.
Since the debate was today, you might be waqiting a while for "post-debate polls." Where are you from, Alex?
True that, but I bet the Strib poll will show more in favor of Wetterling post debate.
