No. I read the worst excerpt they could find and it was only from the viewpoint of someone observing a close friendship between two women. The observer sensed that it was something more, but the implication was that the women did not themselves realize it at the time.
It was beyond tame.
I've observed a rather sweet lesbian relationship at my work. Our director for a year was a woman who had (a few years before) come out of the closet. She was a nice woman, a bit masculine maybe. Her friend was a sweet fluttery woman who...how can I put this kindly. Okay, I can't.
She was an extremely homely woman. She had an Eleanor Roosevelt smile only worse. I wondered ... I always wondered if the fact that she was probably not able to attract men caused her to go into this relationship. My boss was definitely the more devoted of the two.
Anyway, they were kinda fun to watch together. Two plain women well past middle age, but having a ball and just enjoying being together.
Not saying ... just sayin'
Exactly. And there certainly wasn't anything graphic, like Webb's books. This is just like the dims using Mary Cheney in the 2004 election. It has nothing to do with the situation, they're just trying to deflect attention.
