Levin is actually an effective voice in advancing the conservative agenda. Of course, if one were not a conservative, they might not take any comfort in that.
I like Levin, always did even before he got his radio show and I think he is a great asset in the trenches to help champion the conservative cause and I only wish his show leaps and bounds and I would be surprised if most Savage listeners didn't feel the same way.
By the same token the feeling isn't mutual from Levin's listeners toward Savage or his ilk for whatever reason. It seems to be my brand of conservatism is better than your brand, na-nah-nah-na-na!
If I want someone to defend conservatism, I like the way Savage or Levin or Coulter does it, but it seems in today's politically charged politically incorrect atmosphere the Republican Party does not care to defend or champion conservatism, they'd rather sell it under a new name and a new flavor but in the process the message has become just a skeleton of what it once was. Savage sees it now, eventually all conservatives will.
