Oops. A "subscribers only" article. I'd have loved to read the rest of it.
You can read the rest for %9.95 a month or $99.00 a year. I google searched the title to see if the article was also on a free site, but no such luck. It basically implies the Democrats shouldn't be counting their chickens right now due to active Christian conservatives and other conservatives.
%9.95 a month? I think I'm going crazy...
every state Bush won made the difference between victory and defeat. Where do these reporters get these crazy ideas that they repeat over and over without challenging?
More evidence that "conventional wisdom" is bullsquat.
I thought two weeks ago we were abandoning the Republican party and stay home or might even vote Democrat. I guess things have changed.
Christian news and commentary at: sacredscoop.com ...
To all conservatives: Vote on Election Day, and go to bed with a clear conscience - whether we win or lose. If you stay home, don't complain about Speaker Pelosi or Senate Majority Leader Reid. I'll have no sympathy for you.
ROTFLM*O!!!! There taint no "evangelical" denomination.
Euphemism for Pentecostals/Charismatics, which in spite of the unbridled attack of liebrals on the Children of God with the liberals "MEGA-church bashing, keeps growing and GROWING!!! hehehe
The Gathering Storm ~ Rick Santorum
"It's time we recognized the nature of the conflict. It's total war and we are all involved. Nobody on our side is exempted because of age, gender, or handicap. The Islamofacists have stolen childhood from the world." [FReeper Retief]
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Paleologus - as quoted by Pope Benedict XVI
Pastor Rod Parsley and his Center for Moral Clairity are also doing great work in Ohio.
Amen Salem.
This Illinois voter is voting for all Republicans EXCEPT Judy Barr Topinka for Governor.
Only Conservative running for Governor in Illinois is Randy Stufflebeam. (write-in candidate).
"The turnout machine that has pulled evangelical conservatives to the polls in massive numbers is churning away, and for a reason little appreciated outside their circles: the sense that voting is their Christian duty."
Not just Christian duty, but patriotic duty!
If you care about the world and your fellow man and your country, you WILL vote.
Broken-glass time, Republicans! Save the Congress!
I just thank God I don't live in Ohio right now. Sure, I'm not happy with my choices here in WA either, not by a long shot, but I really doubt I could pull the lever for anyone that joined McCain's Gang over the Judiciary. That still makes my teeth grate when I think of all the judges being blocked right now.
My prayers for the conservatives of Ohio faced with that choice. God probably knew what he was doing placing you in that state, rather then me. Though for Blackwell's sake I wish I could register a vote for him...
Romans 3:8 (King James Version)
I am not concerned if you have sympathy for me or not... Voting the lesser of two evils is not exactly what the Bible prescribes... does it? If you voting a pro-abortion or pro-homosexual RINO... well... are you going to go to bed with a clear conscience?
Vote yes... vote the best you can... but I plan on writing in a vote for governor here in Alabama... Constitutional party candidate Roy Moore has my vote locked in.
You know I believe these facts and implications. The MSM has been trying as much as the devil, to frustrate conservrelpubs from voting this time. I pray they fail. I have a God blog, abundanthope.blogspot.com/ and a pol. one in which I optimistically wrote that Christians and people of faith who love the nation, would see their duty to vote over the great issues of good and evil . The Left would want nearly 90 million people left out of the voting equation. No room at the inn for anyone of the Judeo-Christian persuasion who wanted to stop liberal pacifist socialism in this nation. I am praying, many of those 90 million will fool the DNC, the Media and the pundits on any side.
LowOil, I am voting with a very clear conscience. Always have, always will. In fact, this evangelical pro-life voter is fortunate (indeed, honored) to live in a reliably conservative state (South Carolina) just like yours. The top GOP candidates in our big races this year are conservative pro-lifers. So I'll admit that I don't have a difficult choice.
I would, however, grudgingly vote for a RINO (fortunately an unknown species in S.C.) for the House or Senate if it did the slightest bit to help the GOP maintain a majority. I can't stand Lincoln Chafee, but if the Rhode Island Senate election were tied, and if his election were the difference between having Mitch McConnell or Harry Reid as Majority Leader, then I'd vote for Chafee. Of course, he could eventually pull a Jeffords-type party defection but my vote will still have been based on the best information available at the time.
Naturally, if the GOP surrenders every conservative policy from its platform, then a third-party Roy Moore type of revolution will probably be in order. But we're not there yet.
The biggest folks I dont have sympathy for are those who throw in the towel and quit...or turn traitor like Jim Webb. I have more respect for someone like you who at least walks up to the plate and swings the bat.
