Great news. I have very seldom said anything positive about Arnold Schwarzenneger, but I think his coattails are helping. It's ironic, because he robbed McClintock of a shot at the governorship earlier, in the recall campaign, but now he's helping him, even if inadvertantly.

Just maybe when Arnold leaves office Tom might be the party's candidate for governor. He has certainly been a team player.

Tom had no shot - without Arnold, the recall would have failed and Tom would have been on the back-burner forever.

Now that Arnold has shown him that you don't get anything if you lose, Tom might have a good chance at the big chair.

Good for him... and us.

Frankly, I think the benefit is more due to how miserable a candidate Mr. Angelides has been. I'm doubt you'd be saying that if Westley had been the nomineed.

If Tom wins Lt Gov he'll be in a prime spot to move to Gov in 2010. We don't know if Tom would've won the recall and if he had won the recall, we don't know if he'd have been effective at all.

Arnold changed the landscape and just maybe has made being a Republican not the knee-jerk NO WAY to CA voters. Yes he's not the conservative McClintock is (understatement) but they *are* running as a "ticket."

Think of it as Reagan not getting the GOP nomination in '76. That worked out.

We'll see how it plays in just over a week.

Moving the CAGOP from the MSM slanderous misuse of Wilson/187 has been an element of my positive argument for Arnold (since the recall days).
