I agree. But Mountjoy has no chance. As long as Feinstein and Boxer decide to stay in the Senate, California's U.S Senate seats will remain in the hands of Democrats.

She was vulnerable because of SB 2611. Mountjoy could have made some great political hay out of that issue. The campaign ads you could write on that issue alone....the mind boggles.

Plenty of people in California are fed up with the illegal immigration problem, including many Dems. Sprawl and overpopulation are their mantras, and Feinstein sold them out, big time.

The Republican Party should have put up a real fight, and they might have gotten a pleasant surprise.

If Arnold wanted to and I doubt he does, he could probably beat either one of them. But it would take a very good celebrity candidate to win. Joe Montana might have a decent shot if he tried. Jerry Yang, David Filo, Sergei Brin or Larry Page would have good chances too.
