A comma can be used as a pause only when connecting two independent clauses.

Who am I? Certainly not a grammar expert, though I've recently brushed up on the rules since my husband became self-employed. I am a Wife, Mom, Catholic, Conservative, Southerner, Ebay seller, genealogist, Cat Lover, etc.
