Congress banned the practice in '96? Some Clinton appointee will fix that eventually. Church and state thing, doncha know.
I'm going to be interested in how he is defended. Who would take this case? What arguments can be made in his defense?
"Later on, the same judge (in an obvious fit of PC) let off an Arab woman (from SA) who was charged with molestation of her son. It is, common practice for Arab mothers to "soothe" a crying male infant by fondling his genitals"
WHAT?!?!?
"Prosecutors say Adem used scissors to remove his daughter's clitoris in their apartment in 2001. The child's mother said she did not discover it until more than a year later. "
That is pure BS. We are talking about a TWO-YEAR-OLD little girl. She would be in the potty training stage and her mother wouldn't have noticed any bleeding? Didn't hear her screaming in pain? These people are depraved, disgusting, savage animals. No human being with any type of morality would do this to their child.
In the 19th century, at the height of the masturbation hysteria, circumcision (amputation of the clitoris) was indeed performed on at least a few American women (and especially young girls). It was thought that by preventing them from masturbating, that they'd be saved from insanity as well as unchastity. However, it wasn't the most severe form of circumcision (infibulation) and it was never terribly common. Not that tha makes what was done to those women any less than a terrible crime...

For your prize you get to send your favorite Liberal Moonbat to an all expense paid trip to Somolia for a first-hand education on multiculturalism!!!
I am outraged and sickened. I'm a mother and there is no way that child's mother could not have known her daughter had been mutilated in that way. Going to the bathroom would have been painful beyond description and the bleeding would have been very obvious. She should be investigated and tried too. Although maybe escaping trial herself convinced her to testify against her husband.
As for him... I hope that man, I can't call him a father, goes to jail for a very long time and that he meets something from his worst nightmare while there. Big Bad Bubba in search of a "wife". Let's see him preserve his own "virginity".
You may want to ask your wife, girlfriend or a gynecologist.</p>No one here would want to answer that question.
I didn't think Christians believed in beheadings.
But we have freedom of religion here and I don't see you demanding members of the Jewish faith community cease performing Bris. Even with genital herpes cases because of such "traditions."
If we really believe in a individual's personal autonomy over their body, *all* childhood circumcision MUST end. I know people are pointing to HIV reduction claims lately but here's a news flash: a sexually mature male can always choose to become circumcised himself, not at birth!
Yes, I wonder if most Americans realize we're headed for Third World status as we permit millions of ignorant and barbarous people to waltz into the USA - legally and illegally.
The Guttmacher Institute is a sister orgnization of Planned Parenthood. They throw Christians into the lot because that's what they think of them. It's a Muslim practice, the Koran talks about it. That's why you don't find it common in predominately Christian societies.
I have been working with Somali refugees for years. The women that come here are usually circumcized and are often quite happy to abandon the practice when their daughters are born. Others do not abandon it because they don't know they can. They think EVERYONE is circumcized. Not only is it related to Islam, but to other primitive/tribal religious beliefs as well.
No; if you read the article at the link, the leads on the legislation were Pat Schroeder (D-Colorado) and Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada).
Did you read the article ? They're talking about hadiths and Sharia law.
