What this article does not say, of course is that last year the Florida GOP registered 50,000 new voters and the rat registered just 3640, yes 3640! What it did not say is that 1100 new people move to Florida a day and they are obviously NOT going there to vote Democrat.

    This is all good news.

But why do you say that new arrivals to FL are not going to vote Democratic?

Just curious.

They also underestimate the Panhandle's ability to deliver Republican votes.

Even now, the RATS continue to fantasize about the "Religious Right" staying home.

Question WHY IS THE FLORIDA REPUBLICAN PARTY NOT CONTRIBUTEING TO KATHERINE HARRIS CAMPAIGN COFFERS. If our party is so good what about Katherine she made Nelson look like he belongs in a Nursing Home. Yet our party does nothing for Katherine financially.

I have asked there campaign and thats what I am told. They have yet to receive even a dollar!
This is a good lady lets back her big time!!!!!!

What puzzles me is why FL is going to reelect a democrat senator. If FL is so republican or can turn out the votes to elect republicans, how is the democrat going to win. That makes no sense to me.

Florida will elect Nelson because he is a big name, he has the granny vote, and as far as I know, there are more Dems in Florida than Republicans.

One of the few good writers for the St. Pete Times. He actually spent time researching, analyzing and wrote a fairly straightforward article. If only the rest of the media could write like this, I might actually buy a newspaper once in awhile.

WHY IS THE FLORIDA REPUBLICAN PARTY NOT CONTRIBUTEING TO KATHERINE HARRIS CAMPAIGN COFFERS.

Perhaps because Congresswoman Harris has backed out on her own promise to contribute to her campaign. Earlier this year she promised to put $10 million of her own money into the campaign. So far she hasn't even given 1/3 of that amount. That speaks volumes as to what she thinks her chances are.

Yes, and have made lots of GOTV calls. I will vote for Crist, Harris and Bilirakis on the 7th. I'm taking a neighbor to the polls and getting him back so he can be at work at 08:40. Since I was going to be there anyway, I decided to vote then instead of by absentee ballot.

What 'RATS don't see, is that many, even disgusted with the party, Evangelicals see voting as a God-given, Patriotic duty. The real Christian Evangelicals will vote...no matter what.

Harris has run a remarkably poor campaign and has an image, deserved or not, of being self-obsessed and manipulative. Nelson has gone out of his way to avoid getting tagged for being the liberal that he is.

To: straps
The Republican Party of Florida would have a rebellion from major donors and other candidates if they gave money to Harris. She is mostly seen, correctly or not, as a problematic candidate with little chance of victory, and sending resources her way would mean that other campaigns go hungry.
