It's America's future, stupid
The past few years, Republicans in Congress and the White House have joined with Democrats in not only tolerating, but also hosting an orgy of federal spending burning through our tax dollars as if they were cheap cigars at a Washington, D.C., after-hours party.
Republicans have agreed with Democrats in allowing our nation's borders to remain unsecured even after the 9-11 terrorist attacks against our nation highlighted the urgency for America's security personnel to know who is coming into this nation with the intention of harming our citizens.
And finally, Republicans have allowed political pressures from Democrats and world opinion to at times neuter their pursuit of the war on terrorism. At a time when we need to be playing offense in the war on terror, it seems that the jihadists are winning the PR war not only on the world stage, but here at home as well.

Instead, I recognize that although the Republican Party is far from perfect, it is the best hope for conservatives in this nation at this time. Thanks for the good link Impeach

I read it, and TYVM for calling it to our attention. For me, this is the crux of it: "................Time and again I've watched as members of the Bush administration seemed to be abandoning fundamental arguments in the war on terrorism. Each time, that's left me in the position of either criticizing the Bush administration, and handing anti-war liberals the disunity that they salivate over like underfed vultures, or else biting my lip and continuing on like some battered wife who keeps pretending things will soon get better.............(and)...There are strong business interests who currently have the ear of President Bush and some on Capitol Hill, which has caused them to flirt with amnesty and open-border policies at times" (and I add--keep pretending that THIS (the border and illegals) will soon get better instead of worse!).

Thanks for the ping. Worthy indeed!
