Interesting to see the transition in the way that conservatives view politics.
One of the major reasons why I'm a Democrat and not a Republican (well, there are several reasons) is that Republicans just don't seem to have the stomach for the political fight.
After this election, I might be forced to re-evaluate that.

Agreed. It's good to hold the high ground, but blindly doing that belonged in the 90s when the US didn't face any imminent threats. During that time, having libs in charge for a while was merely annoying. Now it would be a national disaster. We have to be willing to do whatever is necessary, within the confines of the law, to see to it that the libs don't end up in charge of the govt. Knowing that you lead a totally clean campaign isn't going to be much comfort when the whole country is crashing down around you.
