May 16, 2004 Flashback: When Clinton Was President, Torture Was Cool
Under the control of Richard Clarke, the CIA's Counter-Terrorism Center (CTC) had established a specal bin Laden unit in 1996, and by 1998 had over one hundred case officers and intelligence analysts. " With the help of the CTC, forty terrorists from the former Yugoslavia were captured and turned over to Arab governments, usually Egypt. Egyptian security is believed to have tortured, tried, and executed many of them. In this way, al Qaeda cells were quickly smashed in Albania, Bosnia, and elsewhere." -- Losing Bin Laden, by Richard Miniter We didn't hear the press complaining then. Indeed, Clinton's use of torture (which, by the way, we supported, and continue to support) was treated as proof of his "seriousness" about the issue of terrorism. It proved he was no limp-wristed hand-wringing liberal bleeding heart. It showed he was tough.

What we Americans, us Real Americans should do to these 'Vichies' should be what happened to such collaborators after WW2, and I do not mean they simply were put on trial- nothing that tame !
Good! Everybody ought to be using torture on al Queda suspects. Just the threat of it puts a major kink into al Q's operations because they have no idea what their operatives have divulged to us everytime we catch one.
If we play by the liberal mamby-pamby rules all the time, they know we're not going to get anything but the lies their operatives have been directed to tell us.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.
Please everybody knows only the Republicans really know how to torture... Democrats use feathers.
I'm looking forward to some torture with my wife this weekend.
No surprise that this won't be reported. It doesn't fit with the Bush-hitler thing that the left wants us to believe.
Once again....There is no history prior to Jan, 20, 2001...
As a follow-up, many of the Domestic Security measures that we have now are an expansion of actions and proposals originated by the Clinton Administration right after the Oklahoma City Bombing of 1995 .
One of proposals would have violated the Posse Commitatus Act that was amended to the Constitution following the Civil War and the North's use of Millitary Policing of The South during the Recontruction Era .
Maybe this is how Liberals want to recontruct Middle America to fight off nasty White Guys ~ ~

It's not wrong unless President Bush does it. And if President Bush does it, it's wrong, no matter what.
If all you care about is getting back in power, this logic makes perfect sense. And the country...? Screw the country!
